Mr Shaun Richards
Shaun returned to education as a mature student and understands the positive impact that education and lifelong learning can have both on an individual and their family. Shaun uses his background in computing to fuel his passion for teaching in blended and online environments.
Shaun has worked in Education for over ten years and specialises in supporting the use of educational technologies in teaching and developing online learning material. Shaun’s career has spanned Primary, Secondary, Further, and Higher Education giving him a deep understanding of education across all ages and abilities.
Shaun is a qualified teacher completing a PGCE, obtained Qualified Teacher and Lecturer Status (QTLS), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now AdvanceHE). Shaun has created learning content in five of the leading Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) allowing him to support teaching and learning across a number of platforms. Shaun has supported VLE platforms of various sizes with the largest having over twenty-five thousand students enrolled.
Dr Ian Nicoll
Ian has a wealth experience both as a learner and educator, and associated IT.
He has taught at FE and HE levels. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practise, an MSc in Computer Science, and a PhD in educational research in technology enhanced learning. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now AdvanceHE).
He has a broad experience in supporting learners and educators, instructional design, and implementing and supporting the associated learning systems, including Moodle and Canvas.
